Balkrishna Industries (BKT) is India's leading off-highway tyre maker, exporting to over 160 countries, and it reports into a quarter where record volumes collide with rising raw-material costs. The print will speak to whether the guided ~2% raw-material margin impact landed in Q2 FY27 and how much of the 5% price hike flowed through, alongside early traction from the newly announced Pirelli partnership.

The Board of Balkrishna Industries will meet on Wednesday, 4-Nov-2026 to approve the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half year ended 30-Sep-2026 and consider a 2nd Interim Dividend for FY 2026-27. The trading window has been closed from 1-Oct-2026 until 48 hours after the results release.
Alongside the results, the Board will consider a 2nd Interim Dividend for FY 2026-27, with the record date set at 11-Nov-2026. This follows the Q1 FY27 interim dividend of Rs. 4 per share (200% on Rs. 2 face value), which involved a cash outflow of Rs. 77.32 Crores.
The Q2 FY27 print will test whether BKT's margin recovery path stays intact, with management having guided a ~2% EBITDA-margin impact in the quarter from a ~5% raw-material increase, partially offset by full pass-through of the 5% price hike. The margin starting point is Q1 FY27's 20.61% EBITDA margin, which sat 209 bps below the FY26 standalone margin of 22.7%, against a stated blended target of 23-25% post full commercialization.
On volumes, the question is whether OHT offtake holds above Q1's record 93,770 MT (+16% YoY), with India now at 40% of volumes and tractor retail decelerating through the quarter — September tractor retail fell 12.58% MoM on monsoon stress. The US read improves directionally, with duties down from the 50% peak to a 10% Section 301 tariff effective 24-Jul-2026, though BKT's tariff-refund filings as importer of record remain undisclosed.
Funding is the quieter line to check: net debt rose to Rs. 1,725 Cr at Jun-26 from Rs. 895 Cr at Mar-26, compounded by Rs. 550 Cr of NCDs raised in September at 7.35-7.40%, while FY27 capex guidance stands at Rs. 3,000 crores with about Rs. 1,000 crores spent in Q1.
The call should also cover the Pirelli partnership announced 22-Oct-2026 — up to 800,000 Pirelli-branded car tyres by 2030 at Bhuj and a 50:50 JV for High Value car tyres — alongside the PCR pilot slated for Q3FY27 and the Tracks facility commencing production in H2-2026.
Guidance scorecard: Key guidance items to track against delivery on the Q2 FY27 call.
On-Highway ramp: TBR, PCR and Tracks: Progress on the new product legs within the On-Highway business.
Pirelli partnership execution: The 22-Oct-2026 agreements add a passenger-car-tyre growth leg.
Operating metrics in focus: Volume and mix direction into the quarter.
Risks and funding to follow up: Overhangs management has flagged or that carry concrete pending items.
BKT is the importer of record and has filed for refunds, but the exact quantum is unavailable and a portion will be passed back to customers. As of Q1 FY27, management said it was too early to share details.
Management has stated BKT will be a premium player in PCR, with pricing in line with market leaders rather than discounting. The company declined to name competitive rankings in the PCR market.
An incremental 265,000 MT of carbon black capacity has been earmarked for outside sale, with margins expected in line with industry averages. Carbon Black is targeted to contribute ~10% of revenue by FY30.
Management confirmed on 29-Jul-2026 that previously announced capex is on schedule and within budget. FY27 capex guidance is Rs. 3,000 crores, with about Rs. 1,000 crores spent in Q1 and Rs. 1,500-2,000 crores further planned in the financial year.
Standalone revenue rose 24.79% YoY to Rs. 3,444.70 Cr in Q1 FY27, a sharp swing from declines across Q2-Q4 FY26, supported by a record OHT volume of 93,770 MT (+16% YoY).
