Blue Dart Express is India's leading air express logistics player, moving time-definite parcels for B2B and e-commerce customers across a network of 8 aircraft and 33,000+ vehicles. This quarter's print will speak to whether the 7%-8% PBT margin band finally holds on a standalone basis, and how the lagged ATF fuel surcharge catch-up plays against festive-season volume ramp.

The board will meet on November 06, 2026 to approve the standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026 (Q2/H1 FY27). The trading window has been shut from October 1, 2026 until 48 hours after the declaration of results.
The quarter tests whether Blue Dart's yield-led strategy can hold the 7%-8% PBT margin band while absorbing a lagged ATF cost drag. ATF in Delhi rose a net Rs. 11.28/litre to Rs. 121.28 by the September 1, 2026 revision, and because the fuel surcharge lags price moves, the July-September hikes compress margins first with the catch-up extending into Q3 after the October 1 hike to Rs. 137.
On the demand side, the backdrop firmed through the quarter: Independence-Day sale order volumes grew 31% YoY, festive e-commerce GMV is projected up 25-29% with platform sales opening in late September, and manufacturing PMI re-accelerated to 55.1 in September, a seven-month high. Q1 FY27 set the starting point with standalone EBT margin at 6.93%, just below the 7% lower bound, while consolidated PBT margin of 7.18% entered the band, and management has committed only to maximizing peak-period performance without a recovery timeline.
Pricing realization of close to 4%-5% net GPI for the FY27 cycle, plus the newly announced 9-12% domestic GPI effective January 1, 2027, supports the yield path, though the new GPI lands mostly outside this quarter. The call is also likely to cover the Rs. 27.10 Cr GST show cause notice on Blue Dart Aviation and the leadership transition, with R.S. Subramanian taking over as MD from November 30, 2026.

Q1 FY27 standalone EBT margin was 6.93%, just below the 7% lower bound of the band management has been maintaining. Management acknowledged it is lagging the guidance and said it is working to maximize performance during peak periods to improve margins as soon as possible, without committing a timeline.
Standalone capex is guided at Rs. 100 crores to Rs. 150 crores annualized for FY27, with aviation maintenance at approximately Rs. 150 crores averaged annually and ground capex around Rs. 120 crores. Consolidated capex including leases is guided in the Rs. 250-360 crores zone for FY26 and the next two years.
Management estimates Blue Dart's share of the outsourced/3PL e-commerce market at about 12-13%. In Q1 FY27, over 50 million of its 96.15 million shipments were B2C e-commerce.
Blue Dart Aviation received a show cause notice (SCN No. 16/2026-GST (JC) dated September 30, 2026) under Section 73 of the CGST/TNGST Act for FY 2022-23 and FY 2023-24, alleging excess ITC availment and short payment. The aggregate demand proposed is Rs. 27,09,70,969 plus interest and penalty.
