Concord Biotech is an R&D-driven biopharmaceutical company making fermentation-based APIs and finished formulations, with newer bets in injectables and CDMO services. The Q2 print will speak to whether the FY27 recovery narrative holds — YoY growth against the ~18% historical benchmark off a Rs. 247 Cr base, and whether reported EBITDA margin holds up against fuel-cost and new-venture drags.

Per the October 22, 2026 board meeting intimation, the Board meets on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, to approve unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026 (Q2/H1 FY27), with limited review by statutory auditors. The trading window remains closed until 48 hours after results declaration, under SEBI (PIT) Regulations.
The quarter tests whether Q1's +26.23% YoY revenue growth sustains against a Rs. 247 Cr Q2 FY26 base, with the bulk-drug export subcategory decelerating from +13.84% in Q1 to -7.9% in August while H1 pharma exports still grew +15.45% in rupee terms. On margins, three forces collide: delivered LPG premiums into India rebounded to a near-record $450/t in late September (sixfold from $80/t in June) against management's quantified 1-1.5% fuel drag, only partly offset by 1-1.5% renewable savings, while the new-venture drag of injectables (Rs. 10-12 Cr) plus Stellon (Rs. 5-10 Cr) per quarter persisted with the injectable plant at ~5% utilization. The Middle East tender (~Rs. 20 Cr deferred) could not have returned in Q2, with the conflict in its eighth month and mediation stalled through the quarter. Inventory normalization within H1 FY27 is also on the line — Q1 saw a Rs. 26.85 Cr build against the commitment, making Q2 the last quarter of the window. The call is likely to cover the reported-vs-adjusted margin bridge, the Unit 3 ex-KSM utilization figure promised post-Q1, and milestone checks on Stellon first supplies (H1 FY27) and injectable contract-manufacturing commercialization (H2 FY27).
Performance vs previously stated guidance: Management's FY27 guidance stack gets its second checkpoint this quarter.
Sequential trajectory and tender status
Operating metric trajectory: Capacity utilization and regulatory counts from the Q1 disclosures set the baseline.
Risks and headwinds to monitor
Management has explicitly said it is "not guidance basically," framing it as attainability given facilities, product mix and new facilities. The composition is a baseline 18% plus ~6% from injectables and ~6% from CDMO, toned down to 25%.
No formal EBITDA guidance was given for FY27; management only cited positive impacts of 1-1.5% on power cost plus operating leverage. The longer-term marker is a 40% EBITDA margin by FY28, contingent on the injectable facility and Stellon business ramping up.
Not yet — Q1 FY27 saw a Rs. 26.85 Cr inventory build against management's commitment to normalize within the first half of FY27. Q2 is the last quarter of that window.
Q1 FY27 revenue rose 26.23% YoY to Rs. 257.49 Cr, led by API revenue up 42% YoY to Rs. 219 Cr and exports up 46% YoY on wallet-share gains and new customer additions. Sequentially, though, revenue was down 21.04% vs Q4 FY26.
