Sundaram Finance is one of India's leading NBFCs, lending against trucks, cars, construction equipment and tractors, and its results come against a quarter that saw record domestic vehicle sales. The print will speak to whether AUM growth held its acceleration path and how funding costs and cost-to-income behave after market yields firmed through the quarter.

Sundaram Finance Limited will announce its Q2 FY 2026-2027 results on November 04, 2026. The previous quarter's unaudited standalone and consolidated results were approved at a Board meeting in Chennai held from 10:00 A.M. to 14:15 P.M. on August 3, 2026.
The quarter's demand backdrop was exceptionally strong: SIAM data showed record Q2 FY27 domestic vehicle sales of 83.88 lakh units, up 18.2% YoY, with PV up 30.7% and CV up 28.7% (M&HCV +37.0%) — segments that map directly onto Sundaram Finance's AUM mix of cars 24.4%, MHCV 23.7% and retail CV 19.1%. That supports the question of whether disbursement growth held near Q1FY27's +22% and AUM growth stayed on its acceleration path of 15.3% to 16.9% across the last four period-ends.
On funding costs, the policy repo rate was unchanged at 5.25% through the quarter, but the 10-year G-sec yield closed at 7.05% on September 21, 2026 (up ~21 bps over the quarter), NBFC-bucket market yields rose ~20-90 bps since June 2026, and the MPC's subsequent 25 bps hike to 5.50% is an H2 headwind — making the company's 'asset class / customer segment mix' optimization the swing factor for spread.
Cost-to-income is the other item to size: it rose to 30.70% in Q1FY27 against 28.71% for FY26, and asset quality enters the quarter with Gross Stage 3 at 1.71%, provision cover at 49% and current collections at 92%. Brent crude near $114/bbl by late October pressures fleet-operator cash flows with a lag, a building consideration for the MHCV/CV books' collections.
The call is also likely to cover Royal Sundaram's combined operating ratio (116.3% in Q1FY27 after swings from 127% to 109.1%) and any incremental Labour Codes impact after the Rs. 75 Cr FY26 exceptional.

Royal Sundaram, funding mix and Labour Codes: Consolidated swing factors beyond the NBFC book.
Yes — AUM grew 17% YoY to Rs. 62,275 Cr at Jun-26, with growth accelerating across the last four period-ends from 15.3% to 16.9%. Disbursements rose 22% YoY to Rs. 8,947 Cr in Q1FY27, aided by a materially stronger auto sector.
Gross Stage 3 stood at 1.71% at Jun-26 versus 1.91% a year earlier, with provision cover of 49% (vs 44%) and current collections of 92%. Management describes asset quality as industry best, though Gross Stage 3 had risen QoQ from 1.44% at Mar-26.
Royal Sundaram General Insurance, the JV with Ageas, is volatile: its combined operating ratio swung from 127% in Q2FY26 to 109.1% in Q4FY26 and 116.3% in Q1FY27, when PAT was Rs. 135 Cr after a Rs. 53 Cr loss in Q4FY26. FY26 PAT declined to Rs. 107 Cr from Rs. 133 Cr in FY25.
