Titan Company Limited, the TATA-group jewellery, watches and eyewear retailer behind Tanishq, CaratLane, Fastrack and Damas, reports its Q2 FY 2026-2027 results into a quarter where domestic 24kt gold prices are up roughly 60% year-on-year and the festive calendar has shifted into Q3. The print will speak to two things above all: whether the customs-duty inventory gains (Rs. 407 crore realised in Q1, guided to continue in Q2 and Q3) keep supporting reported margins as the 75-80 bps MTM benefit begins to reverse, and how far the Damas core business remains disrupted by the ongoing GCC conflict.

Titan will host a 60-minute earnings call for Q2/H1 FY27 on Thursday, 5 November 2026 at 6:00 p.m. IST, following the results announcement. The recording and transcript will be hosted on the company website.
The quarter's story is value-led growth on a sharply higher gold price base: the 6 October business update already printed consumer businesses at ~+25% YoY with jewellery +21%, watches +30% and international +97%, taking the network to 3,758 stores with 78 net additions in the quarter.
The World Gold Council's Q2'26 India print shows the same mechanics at an industry level — jewellery tonnage down 15.4% YoY but jewellery value up 34% to Rs. 1,132 bn — with ticket sizes at Titan rising ~31% in Q1 FY27 after ~40% growth in Q4 FY26.
On margins, three moving parts matter: the customs-duty benefit (Rs. 407 crore realised in Q1, guided to continue in Q2 and Q3, though a duty cut was under discussion as of 31 August), the 75-80 bps MTM inventory benefit guided to reverse over 2-3 quarters, and gold's September reversal — MCX fell ~Rs. 3,500/10g in the final week to Rs. 1,50,891/10g — which trims the incremental inventory-gain tailwind versus August's +10.98% run.
Against the ~11% 'center of gravity' for jewellery EBIT margin and Q1's normalized TMZ margin of 10.9%, the normalized margin read is flat-to-compressing, with the coin-heavy mix (coins +~65% in Q1) and entry-price-point pressure structurally margin-dilutive. The clearest overhang is international: the GCC conflict escalated through the quarter and remained unresolved as of 1 November, with Damas posting a Rs. 67 crore core loss in Q1 on business running at '20-30% of previous levels', straining management's guide of positive international EBIT for full-year FY27.
Jewellery demand also softened towards quarter-close as the festive calendar shifted into Q3 FY27, so quantification of the slipped demand will be a focus of the call.
Performance vs previously stated guidance: Management has withheld FY27-specific guidance, so the call will be tracked against these open-ended anchors:
Damas integration and international recovery
Operating metric trajectory
CFO Ashok Sonthalia has said Titan is not giving any FY27-specific guidance, but the 15-20% jewellery revenue growth is 'certainly to be delivered on a CAGR basis' over a three-to-five-year horizon. He noted Q1-Q2 FY27 may benefit from gold-price inflation while H2 depends on the gold price trajectory.
Management has flagged difficulty in guaranteeing the 11-11.5% TMZ margin band amid gold-price volatility and mix shifts, viewing ~11% as a 'center of gravity' rather than a precise target. Overhead control and product engineering such as 18k and 14k jewellery are the stated mitigants.
Damas posted a core loss of Rs. 67 crore in Q1 FY27, with the geopolitical situation impacting footfall and ticket sizes in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, and business running at 20-30% of previous levels. Management expects the overall international portfolio to turn in a positive EBIT performance for full-year FY27, with Damas contingent on the current situation.
beYon launched with its first Mumbai store in Q3 FY26, with a plan to scale from 2 stores to 10-12 stores across 2-3 cities in Q1 FY27 to test adoption before a potential national rollout. Only 1 beYon store was added in Q1 FY27, making the rollout pace a visible checkpoint.
Yes, on a value basis — Q1 FY27 consolidated total income rose 40.4% YoY to Rs. 20,753 crore, and the 6 October update showed consumer businesses growing ~25% YoY in Q2 with jewellery +21% and international +97%. The growth is value-led, driven by ~31% ticket-size inflation in Q1 FY27, while industry tonnage fell 15.4% YoY per the World Gold Council's Q2'26 print.
