UTI Asset Management Company is one of India's leading asset managers, spanning mutual funds, passive funds, pension fund management and international investment solutions. With its mutual fund market share at 4.72% and SIP share at ~2.7%, the Q2 FY 2026-2027 print will speak to whether that share erosion is stabilising and how much of the Q1 fair-value-driven profit surge repeats after the Nifty's 5.67% September fall.

The Board of UTI Asset Management Company will meet on Friday, October 23, 2026, to approve the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half year ending September 30, 2026.
The Q2 & H1 FY27 earnings call is scheduled for October 27, 2026, at 1600 hrs IST. Management representation includes MD & CEO Mr. Vetri Subramaniam, CFO Mr. Vinay Lakhotia, and Mr. Sandeep Samsi.
The Q2 FY27 print will test whether UTI AMC's core earnings momentum holds after a Q1 where consolidated reported PAT of Rs. 293.86 Cr (+24.07% YoY) leaned on Rs. 187 Cr of fair-value gains, while the Nifty fell 5.67% in September — making the core-versus-fair-value split of Q2 profit the key earnings-quality read. The industry fee base held up through the quarter, with average AUM rising from Rs. 85.76 lakh crore in July to Rs. 87.09 lakh crore in September and folios adding 22.66 lakh in July and 26.54 lakh in August, supporting the SIP-anchored flow strategy management has called "the only way to get back to where we are on stock AUM". The company-specific swing variable is market share: MF QAAUM share has slid from 5.17% in September 2024 to 4.72% in June 2026 and SIP share from ~2.9% to ~2.7%, with management acknowledging "investment performance has not met expectations" and redemptions in some large schemes including flexi cap. On costs, Q1 FY27 tracked within guidance — standalone employee cost of Rs. 92 crore against the Rs. 90–95 crore band and consolidated at Rs. 122 crore below the Rs. 125–130 crore band — so the watch is whether VRS savings persist through Q2. The blended yield guide of 1–2 bps dilution for FY26-27 against a ~32 bps anchor will also be tested as ETF & Index QAAUM of Rs. 1,79,674 crore (yielding 8 bps) keeps growing. The call, on October 27, 2026, is also likely to cover the international subsidiary's trajectory after its Q1 swing to PAT of Rs. 60.6 crore and updates on the Section 270A tax penalty appeal.
Guidance scorecard: Management's FY27 guidance bands and where Q1 FY27 tracked:
Market share trajectory
Investment performance turnaround
International recovery and tax penalty appeal
Product pipeline execution
UTI's MF QAAUM share has declined from 5.17% in September 2024 to 4.72% in June 2026, which management attributed "effectively… the impact of the redemptions", including negative net sales in flexi cap. Management also acknowledged that investment performance has not met expectations and that its conservative stance in sectoral/thematic funds may have cost it gross sales and SIP book share.
SIP market share slipped from ~2.9% in September 2024 to ~2.7%, but management countered that SIP counts grew 11% YoY with ~6 lakh new SIPs in H1 FY26, 75% of them digital. RIA and fintech channels grew 40–45% YoY, and management says raising SIP market share is critical to rebuilding stock AUM.
The VRS, which closed October 31, 2025, involved a total provision of ~Rs. 130 crores in Q3 FY26 including a Rs. 25 crore family-pension actuarial impact booked in Q2 FY26. Q1 FY27 standalone employee cost fell 9% YoY to Rs. 92 crore on the VRS benefit, tracking within the guided Rs. 90–95 crore quarterly band for FY27.
The 5 bps TER cut from SEBI's exit-load change is being passed on to intermediaries with, per management, "no dilution as far as the margins are concerned". Management has separately flagged a potential 1–2 bps dilution in FY26-27 blended yield from mix shift toward ETF/index funds (8 bps yield) and low-duration fixed income.
Consolidated total income rose 6.68% YoY to Rs. 585.23 Cr in Q1 FY27, while standalone total income was nearly flat at Rs. 438.91 Cr (+0.14% YoY). Consolidated core revenue from operations grew to Rs. 583.51 Cr from Rs. 546.89 Cr, with gross sales market share at 6.1% for FY26.
