Zydus Wellness develops and markets consumer wellness brands — Complan, Glucon-D, Sugar Free, Nycil, Everyuth and the newly acquired UK-based Comfort Click portfolio — and heads into its September quarter with milk input costs rising and seasonal brands still recovering from a weak summer. The print will speak to two things: whether the Comfort Click acquisition keeps delivering double-digit international growth and EPS accretion despite its fixed-cost load in a seasonally weak quarter, and how the guided ~66-67% gross margin holds up against the quarter's dairy inflation.

The board of Zydus Wellness will meet on November 3, 2026, to approve the unaudited financial results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2026. The trading window remains closed until November 5 and reopens on November 6, 2026.
The Q2 FY27 earnings conference call is scheduled for November 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. IST, organized by ICICI Securities following the results. CEO Tarun Arora and CFO Umesh Parikh will represent the company.
The September quarter is seasonally the smallest for Zydus Wellness, and the YoY comparison is acquisition-aided by construction — the Q2 FY26 base of Rs. 6,429 Mn net sales included only one month and two days of Alidac UK, so Comfort Click consolidation will flatter headline growth. The bigger test is domestic and seasonal: domestic grew only 4.6% in Q1 FY27, seasonal brands (Glucon-D, Nycil) fell 12.0%, and the East & Northeast region that drove the Glucon-D decline recorded its lowest monsoon since 1901, though management has said it anticipates positive growth momentum for the remainder of the financial year. On costs, milk inflation ran through the quarter — Mumbai wholesale prices rose Rs. 9 per litre to Rs. 102/litre effective September 1, 2026, and Tamil Nadu procurement prices were hiked twice in August from Rs. 38 to Rs. 44/litre — pressuring the path toward the guided ~66% to 67% annualized gross margin, with inventories of Rs. 763.8 Cr against ~Rs. 1,430 Cr of quarterly sales meaning the input move passes through quickly. Below gross margin, the structure is unchanged: ~Rs. 40 crores per quarter of acquired-brands amortization (Rs. 490 Mn in Q1 FY27), finance costs on the Euro-refinanced acquisition debt (Rs. 263 Mn in Q1 FY27), and Comfort Click's fixed-cost load — interest plus depreciation of roughly Rs. 80-85 crores per quarter per an analyst's computation, which management confirmed impacts EBITDA in the September and December quarters — against base-business quarterly margins the company sizes at just Rs. 10-15 crores. The upcoming call will likely cover the seasonal-recovery narrative, milk pass-through via pricing and mix, the Comfort Click scorecard, and whether the promised Domestic/International segment disclosure debuts this quarter.
Performance vs guidance tracking: Management has a live scoreboard of stated targets — here is where each stood heading into the print.
Seasonal brands trajectory and Comfort Click fixed-cost drag: The September quarter is seasonally small for Glucon-D and Nycil, and Comfort Click's fixed costs weigh on consolidated EBITDA in Sept/Dec quarters.
Comfort Click growth, expansion and disclosures: The UK acquisition is now roughly one-third of consolidated revenue, and analysts have repeatedly pressed for more disclosure.
Balance sheet, FSSAI matter and management transition: Acquisition debt, a pending regulatory review and commercial-leadership changes round out the watch list.
Reported PAT fell 7.0% to Rs. 1,189 Mn because amortization of acquired brands jumped to Rs. 490 Mn from Rs. 48 Mn a year ago following the Comfort Click consolidation. Excluding that amortization, the company's Adjusted Net Profit grew 26.5% to Rs. 1,679 Mn.
Comfort Click has been EPS accretive since Q4 of the last financial year (Q4 FY26) and remained so in Q1 FY27. CFO Umesh Parikh clarified on the call: 'we have become EPS accretive last quarter, but for the next two years. We, as we said, we maintain our guidance'.
The deal was funded with nearly Rs. 3,000 crore of debt at ~5% interest in GBP, repayable over 5.5-7 years, with equity consideration of GBP 242 million. The bridge loan was subsequently refinanced into a lower-cost Euro facility, and management has said there is no immediate plan to raise equity.
Management has reaffirmed its target of a 17%-18% base business EBITDA margin over the next couple of years, with CEO Tarun Arora stating 'there are no new numbers... those numbers stay'. The path is via gross margin improvement and operating leverage as scale builds.
Management has committed to working on better segmental visibility by the end of the year and to seriously consider domestic/international segmentation, ideally from the beginning of a quarter. Multiple analysts have requested this split, making it a recurring ask worth tracking in upcoming reporting.
